This is the concept sketch for the full color oil painting of the same name. It was inspired by 2 images, both religious;
First, the last supper in the Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago.
Second, a small framed poster of Jesus walking down a path with a bleeding, open wound on his leg. A dog is licking his wound. I saw this picture in a little oddities shop in Arkansas. Now I wish I'd bought it.
