Sea of Lives

This piece was commissioned by Matt B.as an illustration to accompany his poem. The poem reads as follows:
Swaying along with the tide
In this ocean of lives
My little rowboat and I
Floating to the horizon
As we watch the sun arise
He wanted something bizarre and creepy. The man is rowing his boat to a more promising sunrise. Just below the surface I created several beings for him to pass by. Some of which include a seahorse, mermaid, Cthulhu type being, Jesus, mutant babies, the dead, a giant sea snake, and more....
