Concentration Forever Room
pen and ink
This illustration is meant to reflect the horrible events that took place at Auschwitz. The writer who commissioned me to illustrate this image wanted to reflect the pain and suffering that continued for several years and ended in over a million jews being killed by nazi Germany.
The "patient" on the left in this illustration represents the jews, being tortured and strapped down to a wooden board. His eyes are forced to stay open while he is taunted by an "evil doctor" (nazi Germany). This doctor is forcefeeding his "patient" a tube that runs from the ground and eventually comes back around to the patient himself. Symbolising the cyclical act of this entire process, over and over and over. In the right corner a man is urinating and his urine also flows into the hole where the tube comes from. Another symbol of the unclean conditions in which the jews were forced to endure. ![]()
